Everyday Blessings, June 11, 2012

Lowell Greathouse is the District Superintendent for the Columbia District of the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Words of Blessing:

May we notice the thin places in life, where the veil is pulled back and the intimacy of God’s spirit lies naked before us.
May we touch life’s beauty and know what it is like to be caressed by the divinity of God.
May the rhythm of each day rock us in the cradle of sacred love that we might understand what it means to be God’s beloved children. Amen.


Reflection:

An inner voice speaks in the night,
Coming from beyond the veil.
Ah…divine mystery.


Something to Ponder:

Take a moment to quiet yourself….In the silence, are there words that come to you….gifts that you receive, which are beyond your own thought…and that simply arise from the mystery of God’s spirit dwelling within?
