General Conference meets every four years and is the body that decides the mission, direction, budget, and positions of the United Methodist Church across the Globe. Every annual conference is represented by delegates. This year Oregon-Idaho will have two delegates among the 988 assigned positions. This connection page is a place to connect not only to the whole of General Conference, but also to the Oregon-Idaho perspective. General Conference will be held in Tampa, Florida, April 24 to May 4, 2012.

Jurisdictional Conference also meet every four years, in July of the same year that General Conference convenes.  There are five regional jurisdictional conferences in the U.S.  Delegates meet to elect and assign bishops to episcopal areas, approve and budget for jurisdictional activities, elect jurisdictional representatives to jurisdictional and general conference agencies, boards and commissions, and set goals and priorities for the jurisdiction.  The 2012 Western Jurisdictional Conference will meet in San Diego, July 18-20, 2012.
