The United Methodist Women of the Oregon-Idaho Conference are located in 206 churches across Oregon and Southern Idaho. Most churches have a local organization of United Methodist Women but if your church doesn’t have one, we can get you set up as a “District Member.”
The United Methodist Women offer the following opportunities around the conference:
-
District Annual Meetings (4 districts)
-
Conference Annual meeting with opportunities for mission outreach
-
Membership Enrichment and Every Member Enrichment in all 4 districts
-
Leadership training opportunities in all 4 districts
-
Legislative Events in both Oregon and Idaho
-
School of Christian Mission in both Oregon and Idaho
-
Gertrude Boyd Crane Scholarship for women furthering their education going into a church related profession
-
Charter for Racial Justice Awards given to individuals or groups working to promote racial equality
-
Zimmerman Grant awards toward programs resulting in leadership development of Native American or African Americans
For more information on how you can get involved, click on any of the district links for officer contact information.

Bible Study Available:
This winter, the UMW held a new training event called Leadership Development Days. We were allowed to send 12 officers or potential officers to this training. One of the most inspiring events of this training was the bible study which adapted the story of Ruth and Naomi to the women of today. There were many requests for the "script" and it has finally be sent out. In any printed program or bulletin used with this reading, please include the following credit: Used by permission of United Methodist Women, national office.

The National Office of UMW has contracted with PBD Worldwide to provide the customer service functions for the new UMW Mission Resource Center. PBD Worldwide will host our new e-store (online) and act as the fulfillment center for ALL our Mission Resource material ordered by phone, fax or ordered through the e-store. (Because of the busy holiday mails, shipping will commence after January 7, 2013.) As a bonus, all orders placed online are processed without additional cost to us. By ordering online, you make the most of mission dollars.
