 Your Road Map To Annual Conference!

Bishop Grant Hagiya has issued his invitation to clergy and lay members of the 2013 Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference Session. You can read his letter. If you expected to receive and invitation to annual conference, but did not, contact your local church secretary, pastor, or district office.

Visitors (not elected as members) are welcome to join the Laity Session and laity workshops on Thursday, June 20; observe the plenary session of the conference; participate in worship; and join in on mealtime meetings and special events.

More details of the of conference will be on this webpage and shared in the UM Connector weekly email.

The forty-fifth session of the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference will convene at The Riverside Hotel in Boise, Idaho on June 20. Start time is 9:00 a.m. with pre-conference meetings and events happening earlier in the week.
On-site check-in will open at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 19.


 Step 1 ~ Register

Registration for the 2013 Annual Conference will once again be done online. Charges for meals or other items can be made by credit card when registering, or by check when you arrive at Annual Conference.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Riverside Hotel for conference members and guests.

Step 2 ~ Gather a Team from your church to attend the Learning Event

Leadership Event set for Saturday, June 22.

Bishop Grant Hagiya has invited nationally recognized speaker Phyllis Tickle to come and share her insights on Emergence Christianity and how it impacts local churches that are working to start, increase, or grow their vitality in the community. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Riverside Hotel in Boise, break for a no-host lunch, and resume until 3:00 p.m. There will be time following the event to visit the Ministry Marketplace to gather resources and share ideas and fellowship.

Leadership training is included as part of the conference session for clergy and lay members of the Annual Conference. Other guests will be able to attend the training event for the nominal fee of $25. Guests are asked to pre-register (in step 1 above) and may order lunch and/or dinner for that day on their registration.


Step 3 ~ Download

This will be the place to find documents to download before Annual Conference. After June 3 there will be a one-click package of all items needed at the annual conference session.

Download resources to share about eliminating hunger through collecting change (or bills!) and bringing your churches contribution (a check, not the change!) to Annual Conference

You may request that conference documents be printed for you. Submit a request in writing with your mailing information and a check in the amount of $10 for the printing and mailing costs  to:

Legislative Assembly - April 12-13, 2013 at First United Methodist Church, Portland, Oregon. 

The Legislative Assembly of the 2013 Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference will meet Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13 at First United Methodist Church in Portland. The assembly will review the eight action requests and 16 standing resolutions that have been submitted for Annual Conference action. The assembly will make recommendations to the full session of the Annual Conference when it meets in Boise, Idaho, June 20-22. Legislative Assembly members are a representative body of the conference with membership from all districts; clergy, laity, key conference committee, and ethnic groups are represented.

The Legislative Assembly is an open meeting. Guests may attend to hear presentations by spokespersons for the submitted petitions, and debate and discussion by the assembly members. Check in starts at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Portland First United Methodist Church is located at 1838 SW Jefferson St. in Portland. The assembly will meet in the fireside room.
