Action Assembly Charge Conferences
DS Erin Martin and the Columbia District Missional Strategy Team are excited to announce a new format for our 2018 fall charge conference season! Instead of clusters with 2-3 churches, we will be hosting 3 Action Assemblies by geographic area.
WHAT IS AN ACTION ASSEMBLY?
An Action Assembly is a gathering across our District Connection designed for congregations to work together and celebrate our common life. This is an important process in growing a strong, renewed, spiritual United Methodist movement. At the Action Assembly Charge Conference, we will celebrate what God is doing among us, vision a future we want and God intends, and commit to action toward that future.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
- roll-call (introductions from a representative of each congregation present)
- relational 1:1 conversations
- shared worship (singing & scripture reflection)
- breakout groups (business of the charge conference)
- a call to action
