Food for the Soul

Over the years, I’ve learned that deep, thoughtful questions can linger in your life for a long time. One example of this is a question I ran across in the 1980’s when I was designing and teaching courses on Grief and Loss Peer Counseling for Catholic Charities in the San Francisco Bay Area. One of the questions I used in my course was from Stephen Levine. It went like this:

“If you only had one week left to live, who would you call, what would you say…

and why don’t you do it?”

It is a good question to ponder, and it invites us to do something in response.

I hope you enjoy your conversation!

Blessings on your journey,

Lowell

Spirit Alive is a weekly blog and email by Rev. Lowell Greathouse, Mission and Ministry Coordinator for the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference. It seeks out where the spirit is alive in our congregations and communities.
