This past August, I had three weeks of downtime in the Southern California area, and it was an important time of rejuvenation. In ministry, we are constantly in “full throttle,” and in order to simply survive this pace, we have to throttle back at times. Now, I have to admit, my throttling back does include correspondence and a minimum of 10 to do items daily, but that really is cutting back for me – honestly!
The big difference was the lack of punishing travel, as I was able to settle in for about three weeks of not having to pack and repack for the next trip. That alone was worth the price of admission.Read the rest of Bishop Grant's blog post on the Greater Northwest Area website.
