Everyday Blessings, March 22, 2012

3/22/2012

Sacred Writing:

Anand Krishna: “(Non-injury) is not refraining from visible acts of physical violence, but also from invisible acts of mental and emotional violence. To think violently is as much an act of violence as to attack someone or to inflict pain on a physical level….To curse someone in your heart is also an act of….violence. To think badly about someone, to call names, and to insult—all these are acts of violence. We can cause injury and inflict pain upon others on so many different levels.” (One Earth, One Sky, One Humankind, p. 86)

What is one blessing you have experienced this week?

Benediction:

Let us look into the mirror of life this week and realize that each of us is a reflection of God’s Holy presence in the world. May we be mindful of the power of God’s spirit that dwells within and the power of forgiveness to heal the past. Amen.
