Out with the Old (Top Eight) and in with the New

It’s 2014 and all is right with the world.  A cute puppy photo, another season of “Downton Abbey,” new episodes of “The Good Wife,” and oh yes – people are remembering to come back to church (you know, going to church on Christmas Eve means Jesus gives everyone a pass from being in the pews the following Sunday).  Welcome back!  But before we get too taken by the New Year – and to get you revved up for 2014 - here are the Top Eight Inspiring Generosity blogs of 2013:

#8    Inspire with (Dreaded) Numbers and (Wonderful) Pictures
#7    Giving Out of Obligation
#6    Help Your Committees Develop a Budget that Means Something
#5    Five Ways to Make Your Church’s Message Pop
#4    The Way to Present a Budget
#3    Coca Cola Gets it Right
#2    Narrative Budgets Take 2
and…drum roll please…

the #1 viewed blog of 2013:  Telling Your Story Through a Narrative Budget!

I so appreciate everyone who reads these blogs.

And, I invite you to let me know what you are interested in reading about in 2014.

What information would you like to get?  What skills are you missing?  What is your burning question about stewardship, raising money, or marketing?  Send your ideas and questions to me at inspiringgenerosity@gmail.com and we’ll see where we go together in the New Year (I am personally hoping that you will suggest researching stewardship practices in Hawaii).

God bless you all as you start 2014 – excited to give your congregations the great privilege of joining you in making a difference for Jesus Christ in our communities and world.
