Position description: Office Manager and Building Use Coordinator. Responsible for managing the church office, coordinating building use for church and outside groups, updating church databases, and providing assistance to pastor and members. Non-exempt, part-time, hourly employment, 20 hours per week, over 3-4 days during the work week. Candidates should be available to begin work by April 1. Specific job functions: Provide administrative support to the pastor Produce print publications including weekly bulletins, announcements, flyers, seasonal program guides, memorial bulletins and other printed materials Prepare and update PowerPoint pages for worship Primary responsibility for church phone, email, and postal mail Greet visitors Manage building use requests, including inquiries, building tours, reservations, key check-out, payment collection/tracking, and updates to annual agreements for long-term use Prepare church newsletter Maintain calendar of church events and building use Update website with current information & pastor's weekly sermon Maintain and update member database Organize and stock church office Minimum qualifications: Good character and demonstrated ability to work within the structure of the Christian faith 2-3 years prior experience in administrative role Ability to work independently, take initiative, organize and prioritize varied tasks Excellent time management skills; ability to meet deadlines under pressure Strong computer skills including knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint Word Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading Ability to work with diverse groups with excellent listening and communication skills Willingness to learn church database, website CMS, and desktop publishing software Ability to lift up to 25 pound boxes The building is not entirely wheelchair accessible Desired qualifications: Competence with Adobe or other desktop publishing software Competence with WordPress or similar web management software Previous experience with Servant Keeper or similar membership database software Compensation: $16 per hour To apply: Please send cover letter and résumé by Thursday, March 12 via email to — no phone calls, please
