The Columbia District Church Extension Society (CDCES) seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant to support the work of the Board.  Interested parties are invited to submit a resume and letter of application to the Board President, Rev. The Columbia District Church Extension Society (CDCES) Administrative Assistant is a part time, contract, approximately 20 hour per month salaried tele-commuting position.  This person is employed directly by the CDCES and reports to the Board president.
Salary: $350/month
Duties include:
1. Coordinate meetings

  • Keep master calendar of meetings and CDCES events, including Annual Meeting.
  • Communicate with District Admin to confirm meeting schedule and reserve space.
  • Send email reminders of monthly (and other) meetings
2. Coordinate Annual Meeting
  • Reserve meeting space
  • Prepare packets
  • Send invitations
  • Track RSVPs
  • Prepare brochures
3. Prepare documents as needed
  • Minutes, agenda, and other items for meetings
  • Updates of policies or applications
  • Other items as assigned
4. Distribute monthly reports to churches
5. Attend CDCES meetings (monthly, usually held at the Conference Center in Portland) and serve as recording secretary.
  • Submit minutes to committee for approval.
  • Submit approved minutes and other documents to District Admin to be uploaded to website.
6. Serve as communication point for CDCES
  • Respond to emails and phone calls
  • Forward messages to the appropriate committee officers and members
  • Receive mail (other that payments) and distribute to appropriate person
7. Inform Columbia District Admin of changes of officers or any other items that need posted to the website.
8. Set up conference calls (when needed)
9. Other duties as assigned by CDCES Board.
