Jesus' Way of Radical Compassion training with Frank Rogers, Jr. will be held at Portland First United Methodist Church, 1838 SW Jefferson St., Portland, OR 97201. It will begin at 1:00 p.m.Friday, November 30 in the Fireside Room and will continue on Saturday, December 1 until 5:00 p.m.

See the registration link for more details about lodging, meals and nominal fee.

This facilitator training is the second cohort of persons in the Greater Northwest Area to be trained in the Center for Engaged Compassion's (CEC) process for Radical Compassion.  The process has captured the imagination and commitment of lay and clergy who participated in the first cohort in late 2016-2017.  Some will join this training as facilitators in this upcoming engagement.

The training will focus on the teachings, practices, and skills necessary to lead retreats, workshops, and congregational events rooted in the CEC's approach to three-fold compassion. The CEC's approach to three-fold compassion is rooted in the spiritual path of Jesus and deepens a person's experience of being loved by an extravagantly compassionate sacred presence, cultivates a healing and restoring self-compassion, and increases capacities to extend compassion to others, including those who suffer, are outcast, and those with whom we are in enmity.
