The Columbia District Missional Strategy Team is excited to announce a new format for our 2018 fall charge conference season! Instead of clusters with 2-3 churches, we will be hosting 3 Action Assemblies by geographic area.
What is an Action Assembly?
An Action Assembly is a gathering designed for congregations to work together in celebration of our common life. This is an important process in growing a strong, renewed, spiritual United Methodist movement. At our Action Assembly Charge Conference, we will celebrate what God is doing among us, vision the future we want and God intends, and commit to action toward that future.
Participants in the Portland-West Action Assembly Charge Conference include:
|Beaverton First||Vermont Hills|
|Portland First||Woori Korean|
Sunday, November 4, 2018
2pm to 5pm
12755 NW Dogwood St.
Portland, OR 97229
The Action Assembly Charge Conference will include:
- roll-call (introductions from a representative of each congregation present)
- relational 1:1 conversations
- shared worship (singing & scripture reflection)
- breakout groups
- a call to action
We expect 100-125 attendees at your Action Assembly Charge Conference. Additional information will come to you at the Columbia District Colloquy on September 20.
