Medicare Insurance Benefits Guidance

Perhaps you’re familiar with Apple’s Siri (Where’s The Nearest Coffee Shop?) or Amazon’s Alexa (Play: Florida Georgia Line Simple).

If you know someone on Medicare, then please introduce them to SHIBA: Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA) available in Idaho and Oregon.

Medicare participants need to complete their annual Medicare Advantage and Part D check-up during the Open Enrollment Period, October 15 through December 7.

Overwhelmed by Medicare Advantage advertisements? Trained SHIBA Volunteers can help you pick a plan that meets your health needs, without the sales hype.

Among other services, SHIBA volunteers can help Medicare beneficiaries navigate the maze of options, costs, and benefits including:

  • Find out if you’re eligible for benefits you are not receiving
  • Compare medical and prescription insurance policies
  • File claims
  • Make appeals and complaints when necessary

You can find a SHIBA program near you.
