MicroGrant Project: Sherwood

Sherwood United Methodist Church gratefully used the funds from the micro-grant to build up our Shared Table project which is a new endeavor of our church to partner with Helping Hands and other community organizations to provide a free dinner every Thursday evening during the school year. Using this grant we were able to move from food being donated by volunteers to having an on-site pantry and food being paid for by the church with volunteer help. We have had a tremendous time getting to know members of our community this way, and growing in service as we do it.

Thanks in part to this grant we have provided over 1,200 meals so far this year!
