MicroGrant Project: Tualatin UMC

Tualatin UMC's microgrant project is to support Family Promise of Tualatin Valley.  Family Promise is a program which supports families with a place to stay and works on finding employment and housing for the families.   TUMC is  a support church.  Earlier in the year they had one week where they teamed with Living Savior Lutheran in providing meals, serving the meals,  camaraderie, and overnight hosting.  They have used the micro grant funds to provide breakfast and lunch items for the families.  They also purchased mattress pads for the families to use during their week stay at Living Savior.  TUMC had 16 volunteers that gave 110 on-site volunteer hours.  They will be a support church again later in summer 2019. They hope to provide activities for the families depending upon their needs.

Family Promise of Tualatin Valley has placed four families in housing since it began in early April 2019.
