Course Description: In addition to presenting basic public speaking skills, this Lay Servant Ministries advanced preaching course will also explore how to incorporate narrative elements of story into your sermon.  Considering an opening joke, an illustration, or the telling of a personal experience from the perspective of story can improve a sermon’s clarity and make it easier to comprehend the intended meaning. participant write one sermon text that will be shared & discussed with other participants + complete additional exercises between sessions.
Expectations: Each participant must read the book, complete assignments, and attend all 5 sessions with audio and video capability active throughout.
