Idaho New Church Start Holds Final Worship

In a statement from the Church Development Team and Cabinet it was has been announced that ANEW Experience, the new church start in NW Ada County, Idaho had its final worship service on February 27.

ANEW Experience was started with funding from the Church Development Team and has operated under a new model of church planting and accountable benchmarks for new church starts. The General Board of Discipleship's Path 1 team has also been a partner alongside the launch team at ANEW Experience and conference leaders. Teresa Adams was introduced at the 2010 Annual Conference Session as the pastor of the new start. With the support of the Church Development Team she will share her gifts at Amity United Methodist Church in Boise through June.

The statement also indicates the intention of the Conference Development Team and Cabinet to continue a commitment to new church planting stating, "While there is considerable disappointment over the loss of this dream, many valuable lessons were learned which will serve the Church Development Team and the Cabinet as they continue their efforts to launch new faith communities in our Annual Conference."
