Apply now for Oregon-Idaho Conference higher education scholarships

There are two general education scholarships available through the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference and applications for the 2022-2023 academic year are open now.
Oregon-Idaho Conference Undergraduate Leadership Award ($800)
- A scholarship is awarded to one undergraduate student from each of the four districts of the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference, a total of four $800 scholarships, annually. Applicants are evaluated primarily on their leadership or potential leadership skills. Financial need is also considered. The scholarship may be used at any two or four-year accredited undergraduate institution.
- A $750 scholarship is available for one undergraduate or graduate ethnic minority student. Applicants are evaluated primarily on their leadership or potential leadership skills. Financial need is also considered. The scholarship may be used at any two or four-year accredited institution of higher education.
Applications for the 2022-2023 academic year opened December 15, 2021 and will remain open through March 24, 2022. Use this website to learn more and register. Notification of selection results come in June-July 2022 and funds are disbursed August-September 2022.

Other avenues available to resource UM members’ education include loans and scholarships from the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry, scholarships for UM-related institutions from the UM Higher Education Fund, a Conference UMW-sponsored scholarship for women pursuing training for a church-related vocation, and Conference Ministerial Education Funds for people in seminary, pastors pursuing continuing education.
