UMCOR West Depot seeking volunteers for spring, summer 2019
Located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, UMCOR West Office and Depot seeks to be a vital part of the work and vision of the United Methodist Committee on Relief. As a part of UMCOR’s Relief Supplies division, UMCOR West builds, shelves, and distributes relief supplies to areas in the United States that have been affected by natural disasters.
In 2018, the UMCOR West Depot addressed floods, hurricanes and most notably fires that burned across the western U.S. As a result, the depot is in need of volunteer groups from local churches to help rebuild relief supply inventory.
Currently there are several openings in the spring and summer of 2019.
“Our work can be done by young and old and our costs are very low,” said Brian Diggs, associate director at the UMCOR West Depot.
