Alice P. Brooks September 4, 1934 – January 28, 2020
Alice P. Brooks, spouse of Rev. Fred R. Brooks, Jr, died on January 28, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Fred; children Thomas and Martin; and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Trevor and Clara.
Reverend Brooks served at First Methodist Church, Oneonta, New York in the Wyoming Conference. He also served Eugene: Asbury in the Oregon-Idaho Conference. He served as Director of Aid and Admissions and Assistant Dean of Students at University of Chicago, Director of Admissions at Vassar College, Assistant Vice President at the State University of New York, and Director of Admissions at Marywood College. He retired in 1999. He served for a time after retirement at the First United Methodist Church of Forest Home (Forest Home Chapel) in Ithaca, New York in the Upper New York Conference.

A memorial service was held at Vestal United Methodist Church, 328 Main Street, Vestal, NY 13850 on February 22, 2020.
Memorial contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to global relief efforts of the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) through the Vestal United Methodist Church or to the League of Women Voters of Broome and Tioga Counties, P.O. Box 944, Vestal, NY 13851
