Colleen C. Foster November 27, 1936 – November 18, 2021
Colleen C. Foster, retired Diaconal Minister in the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference, and wife of retired pastor, Rev. Tom Foster, died on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Colleen is survived by her husband, Tom; their children Paul, Eileen, Mark and Heidi; six grandchildren (5 living); and three great-grandchildren.
Colleen served as Diaconal Minister in Education/Adult & Youth Ministries, as Organist, and as Diaconal Minister of Music, all at Roseburg UMC in the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference. She retired in 1996. Together, she and Tom served Haines/North Powder, Ontario: First, Madras, Pocatello, Salem: Trinity, and Roseburg UMCs in the Oregon-Idaho Conference. Rev. Foster retired in 1996.
Colleen’s memorial service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Portland First United Methodist Church, 1838 SW Jefferson St., Portland, OR 97201.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any charitable contributions in Colleen’s memory be made to Camp and Retreat Ministries of the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference (checks can be made out to Conference Treasurer and mailed to 1505 SW 18th Ave., Portland, OR 97201) or to Portland First United Methodist Church and mailed to 1838 SW Jefferson St., Portland, OR 97201.
