Thomas L. Truby
Thomas L. Truby November 26, 1946 – March 16, 2020
Reverend Thomas “Tom” Truby died on Monday, March 16, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Laura and two children: Angela and Aaron. He is also survived by two grandchildren.
Reverend Truby served Bradshaw-Lushton UMC in the Nebraska Conference and Bath, Climax and Mendon UMCs in the West Michigan Conference. He was appointed to the specialized ministry of pastoral counseling at the Samaritan Counseling Center of Benton Harbor/St. Joseph in the Northern Illinois Conference and Counseling Ministries in the West Michigan Conference. He served Clarkes and Willamette UMCs in the Oregon-Idaho Conference. He retired in 2019 and was serving at Clarkes UMC when he died.
The congregation at Clarkes UMC has placed their Easter flower cross out in front of the church (18773 S Windy City Road, Mulino, OR 97042) in memory of Tom and are encouraging people to come by as they can to place flowers and then send photos to Laura. A memorial service will be held be held sometime in the future.
