Dan Benedict is the featured presenter for this training, which will incorporate services and prayers from the Methodist tradition, with worship resources available for those from other traditions. Dan, former Worship Resources Director for the United Methodist Church, is author of Come to the Waters, a book on baptism and making disciples.

Daniel Benedict retired as Worship Resources Director in the Center for Worship Resourcing for
The UMC General Board of Discipleship in 2005 and is an elder (presbyter) in the California-
Pacific Annual Conference. He authored Come to the Waters, a book on baptism and making
disciples, and co-authored Contemporary Worship for the 21st Century. His most recent book,
Patterned by Grace: How the Liturgy Shapes Us was published in 2007. He was a contributing
author for Go Make Disciples (Augsburg Fortress: 2012). He passionately advocates the affirmation
